You pose a question and watch them speak gibberish
If you don’t know much about British politics – you should. The British parliament is the basis for so many political establishments around the world it’s hard to count them all. The British parliament gave the world English Law – most countries adopt that, too.
But that is the history lesson over and back to a politician that is, literally, living in a dream world. Gordon Brown, the British Prime Minister.
Why?
Well – because he feels confident that the Labour Party is going to win the next general election – there is about as much chance of that as me being whisked off in an alien spacecraft while writing this blog post. Whoooooooooooooosh!
Nope, that didn’t happen. Nor will a Labour win happen.
The Labour Government, to win the next election, are going to have to repeal almost every law they have enacted over the time they have been in power. The Tories will promise much, they won’t deliver, but they will give the Labour Party a black-eye and a very bloody nose. I can, and this is really true, see the Liberal Democrats coming a close second, and that not taking many seats from the Tories. Labour will be thrashed!
They have little time to do anything – the economy is on the way down, spending is out of control, local governments are acting like the Stazi, the government itself is acting like a Stalin run autocracy. A labour victory just ain’t gunna happen – and I, a true Labour man through and through, am glad!
This lot are not Labour men and women – I really don’t know what they are – so out with them and bring in people who are going to do the right job for all the British people – and that ain’t the Tories either, but five more years is a short time to wait.

The problem with Gordon Brown is that he was a good Chancellor but he does not have the personality to be an effective Prime Minister. Of course we will be as you say bribed with our own money come election time. I am impressed that whilst He was Chancellor the economic performance was down to his prudence, now it’s all gone Pete Tong it’s those pesky Americans’ fault.
Agree with UK Voter, Cameron needs to provide policies for improvement not simply indulge in yah-boo politics and counter-attack jabs. The Tories will not win the election because Labour will lose it.
What we need is a PROPER representative democracy, that means MP’s beings answerable to the voter not the whip – the Whip system is one of the prime reasons why we have such a slew of anti-democratic, anti-freedom, stasi-enabling legislation over the past 10 years and this 42 day detention malarky is a gross abrogation of the governments democratic obligations.
My £0.02 worth (after tax of course).

I completely agree, Gordon Brown is deluded and I suspect he is also as isolated from his party, as he is from the public in terms of believing he can win the next election. No doubt he will attempt to bribe some sections of the community with his re-launch, but truth be told, few of the electorate, including die hard labour supporters, have any faith in him or his party to deliver what we need.
Similarly, Cameron is not necessarily the answer, but he is a lot better than what we have now, but then most people would be. My principal concern with Cameron is he is not trying to win the election through strong policies, beliefs and a genunie will to make a difference. Instead, he is relying on the Labour government to lose the election, as they undoubtedly will. But I then ask myself this, what self-respecting opposition leader would want to have an election handed to them rather than fighting for it on policy and principle? The net result may be the same, but it won’t feel the same for the electorate.
Whatever happens at the next election, I truly hope that it is not a landslide, because with an effective whip, this means that the ruling party is precisely that. They can get on with doing pretty much what they want with virtual impunity. Judged only at the next election.
