Just what Lou wanted

Mexico to be blamed

It wasn’t any surprise that the current food scare would be a matter of finding out where in Mexico the soiled food came from. Lou Dobbs has had this one in his bonnet since the story broke. Giving Lou credit, or as much as I can give him, is that he didn’t say that he thought they came from Mexico – he just eluded to it – a lot.

So, come Monday’s show Lou will be on giving it large to the FDA for not finding this out sooner.

But:

Mexican officials said the findings were “premature,” even as the FDA issued an advisory stating that a contaminated jalapeño pepper originated in Mexico.

But Mexican Embassy spokesman Ricardo Alday noted that the investigation is ongoing.

“Mexico strongly urges the FDA to abstain from making any further public comment implicating Mexican produce in this outbreak until it has completed its investigation of jalapeño peppers in Mexico, and until the United States has assured the result with their Mexican counterparts,” Alday said.

That NAFTA thing is getting in the way, Lou? Rouge tomatoes across that un-built border!

And you can’t say that this scare is from China – or can you?

And they say blogs hype things up…

    LOL Yup!

It was that ONE Jalapeno. I think it’s all about forcing them to go along with a North American standard. They put out fear tactics so the consumer won’t buy from Mexico. Hit them where it hurts. Playing on the fear of the public and their wallet works wonders in attempting to get another Country to do whatever it is they want them to do.

All we have to do is look at all the reports out of China this past year. It’s not like no one in North America didn’t know about any of it for many, many years. But China has been pissing them off lately. So they get outed. Who cares that these toxic materials have been used for ages, and our governments knew it was unhealthy for the public. No problem, as long as they get what they want.

When they don’t, things like this come out.

Remember, the media does not, by law, have to report the truth. And they count on people not checking the facts. The mere thought of it is good enough. And they say blogs hype things up…

Of course, Will, I’m sure that is all the Mexicans fault too! :-)

    LOL – yep, Julie!

Yes, Will, independent has become another word for conservative, just like the word libertarian.

  6. Will Rhodes Says:

But all Independents agree with Lou’s conservative independent ideals, Muse ;) LOL

As I’ve said before, one cannot see the borders of (most) countries from space. Perhaps Mr. Dobbs and his adherents could go have a look. ;)

  8. Mr. Serrano Says:

Blame anything coming from the southern border, first people, then candies, then tomatoes, then peppers, then… what’s next?
    What a STUPID mentality.

I absolutely positively cannot stand Lou Dobbs. He has gotten onto that soapbox about illegal immigrants from Mexico and will not come down from it. If you listen to him long enough you learn he can find a way to blame anything on Mexico. The man is hysterical about it.
