$29 a month
It’s Sunday so I should be at the gym. But after reading this, I won’t bother. And why do people pay good money for crap service – for that is what they do!
When I was in the States it was expected that you tip just about anyone. I never really did get a grasp of that – it comes from knowing that people needed a living wage and not rely on being creepy to get a good tip. Good service yes, but that isn’t what this is about.
What it is about is going to the gym to get into fights, arguments, scream at fellow gym-nerds who want the beautiful body – after the Maccy Ds probably. But these dudes pay for that privilege.
It says, or gives an indication of etiquette, at the end of the piece – but doesn’t it all come back to good manners? Are these people not taught from a young age that good manners are a good thing? Is corporate America so badly hung up with getting on they don’t have time to be courteous to each other?
Seems so if one jerk is jerking and the other can’t see the other equipment for the one they usually use.

At my gym, Planet Fitness, it is $10/month and grunting/loud noises are forbidden. They will kick you out if you do that.
